If there are multiple clients that are accessing Gmail using POP protocol. Some clients may never be able to download any new messages. This is because by default, the messages will be downloaded to the first client that accesses the account, even if you configure your email client to “Leave messages on server after fetching”. Not many people know that gmail has a feature called “recent mode” which allows you to download last 30 days mails regardless of whether other people/clients have downloaded the mails already. Here is how to setup the “recent mode”
